MANILA - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte faced growing outrage on Tuesday (June 26) in his largely Catholic nation after calling God "stupid", the latest furore he has sparked with an unfiltered broadside.

Duterte took aim at the biblical creation story during a speech, raising the question of why God would create Adam and Eve and then expose them to temptation.

 

Original Sin is something Christian theologians have struggled to explain for two millennia. Duterte opted for characteristically colourful language as he broached this thorny catechism.

"Who is this stupid God?" the Philippine leader asked on Friday. "You created something perfect and then you think of an event that would tempt and destroy the quality of your work."

Leaders of the Catholic Church in the Philippines, which counts some 80 per cent of the nation's more than 100 million people as believers, have condemned the statement.

"How can he be a President for all Filipinos if he does not have respect for the Catholic faithful?", Bishop Pablo Virgilio David wrote on Facebook.
The Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches joined in the denunciation on Tuesday, saying it is "completely inappropriate for our nation's president to derisively curse at the God of the Christian faith who is deeply worshipped... by a majority of Filipinos."

Duterte defended his comments in a speech on Monday, but on Tuesday his spokesman announced the president had formed a three-person committee for "dialogue" with religious groups about his comments.

"The theme will be how to lessen the rift between the government and Church," Harry Roque, told reporters.

Duterte has locked horns repeatedly with the nation's historically powerful Catholic Church, especially over its criticism of his deadly narcotics crackdown that has killed thousands.
He has also repeatedly used speeches to attack Australian nun Patricia Fox, who faces deportation proceedings over allegations she violated the terms of her visa by engaging in human rights activism.

Watchdogs have voiced concerns that the drug war killings have encouraged an environment of impunity in the Philippines that has spilled over into areas unrelated to narcotics.

Three priests have been slain since December, including one who was shot dead inside his church as he prepared to hold a mass.

Those killings sparked debate over whether clergymen should be armed for their own protection, a proposal the Church pushed back against.

The furore surrounding Duterte's comments on God follows a string of foul-mouthed insults against world leaders and institutions since he came to power two years ago. (2016)

He called then US president Barack Obama a "son of a whore" and leveled a similar insult at Pope Francis, while branding the European Union "stupid" over its criticism of his drug war.

Testimonies in June and July – We have aquired an interlocking-block-making machine!

In the past when we would visit rural places, we used to give out clothes and money (mainly saved up from salaries) to poor people. With time we realised that this was not sustainable. I will never forget one time, in a village in Mozambique, when we visited a church whose pastor did not only have shoes, he also didn’t own a Bible! But even if he had one, we wondered, would he be able to read?

It was in Mnukwa village of Zambia’s Eastern Province when we decided that, alongside evangelism works we ought to establish  literacy and skills training programmes. The last time I visited this village we were encouraged by some testimonies of visions and dreams given by some believers.

Going back to Lusaka I drove for over 7 hours. This was so tiring especially after a stressful itinerary of preaching and praying for people and moving about to survey the land that our ministry had been offered by the Chief Council. We arrived late at night and only slept at 1 A.M. At 6 A.M. I was already awake to report for work!

Upon arriving in the office I was feeling sick from the stress of the journey. I tried to work but failed. However, it wasn’t the physical stress alone that exhausted my mind. The various demands of the mission journey had wiped out my salary which had transacted to my account some two days earlier! [Mission work can be so demanding. It’s a sacrifice, but I am so deeply thankful to God for a team of brothers (and their spouses) who have been so passionate about God’s work. Most of these friends are old childhood friends who have been aquintances since High School and we have seen each other grow, start work, get married and raise families. Many times we have put monies together to help the needy in the fellowship, especially school going children who cannot afford tuition fees and elderly folk who are too poor to sustain themselves. Looking at how God has always been faithful to meet our needs, we have learned to take steps of faith even in seemingly impossible situations. The results have been so rewarding that there is a perception that our local assembly is funded by Whites, as is common with many faith-based organisations and NGOs! Sadly, many Africans have yet to see what selfless committment to God’s work can do in their countries.Where there is a will to do what is right to the glory of God, I have seen the Lord always making a way. I have often thought about Dr David Livingstone; he left the comfort of  Scotland coming to an uncivilsied foreign land. We are determined to carry on where such gallant missionaries left off!].

“Dont worry…Something will happen very soon”

 

That day in the office, sitting before my computer , I could not concentrate on work. I thought about the school fees of my two sons and also the various other personal expenses. Wearily I bowed down my head and prayed, “Lord, you have always supplied my needs…right now I feel stressed and don’t know what to do…” In a moment, before I even finished praying, as cleary as a voice of a person speaking, deep within my heart came assuring words, “Dont worry…Something will happen very soon. ” It was  a strange experience which was followed by deep peace and rest in the heart. I could not explain the emotion. “This is unusual” I thought to myself. I looked at the time display on the computer screen and it was almost lunch time. I decided to go and sleep at home.

After two hours I received a text message. It was from Sister Bree in USA. I have known her to be spiritual and led of the Lord. Her text read, “The Lord has provided me a financial blessing“. She asked for bank details and stated : “The funds are not tithes…use them at your discretion for yourself and your wife…Wherever you have a need.” She went further to explain what had happened when she was at the Post Office: “here is the strange part: I was in line at the post office , and as I was waiting , I saw the glory of the Lord come down…I wondered about WHY that would happen in that place…” She transacted an amount that is three times my salary!
I read through the text and in tears I glorified God who supplies all our needs accoridng to His riches in glory (Phi.4:19). This experience reassured me that if God has called you to His work, He takes care of it!

“Now we can build!”

 

Days and weeks passed and one thought kept digging on my mind:  how would we build a church and a school? I didn't want to use the sub-standard materials and structures of village quality. I don't believe an area can be developed like that. However, God was about to do something again that would show us that He was in control.

On 11th June, brother Akpan Blessing Nice of Nigeria (a missionary associate), texted asking me to find time to phone him. I phoned immediately and he had important news for me. His explanation as I can recall went something like this: “Have you heard about an interlocking block machine that was invented in Kenya?… I bought one and its amazing! It uses ordinary soil and you only have to mix a little cement. It makes firm blocks through compression. The blocks are interlocking and so you dont need mortar to bind them when building. You will be able to build structures quickly…its already causing an atttaction here, people aregetting surprised at how we are able to complete structures in a matter of weeks! You must get the machine!…”

Brother Nice told me to search for “Makiga Engineering” on YouTube to see the kind of structures we could build with the blocks. I quickly did that and  there the videos came up! I asked myself, “Where was I not to know about this equipment!” It would cut our construction costs by as much as 60%!

I inquired on the price of the machine in Kenya and it was time for trouble again. My local assembly in Lusaka is still engaged with a  church-building project and I could not bring up a suggestion of another project. We needed about US$1000 to buy the machine and $600 for freight costs.  That would be too expensive for us. However, this time I did not give place to doubt. I knew that if it would please the Lord for us to have the machine, He would provide a way.
I prayed, “Lord, we need to build a church and a school in that village and this machine is one cost-effective solution that would enable us quickly raise strong and good structures. May it be one day that different believers from Malawi, Zimbabwe, and various places in my country will gather for meetings in that village…”

That day I spent time doing much research on the Internet about the technology. I decided to call a close friend who is into construction to find out if he knew about the machine and where I could get it from. “The Technology Development and Advisory Unit  of the University of Zambia sells those machines! The unit has sponsorship from ILO and we were trained in using the machines. Remember that beautiful model house I showed you at our work place?” he reminded me; “We constructed it using the same blocks.” Wow, that was too much for me to hear! “How much are they here in Zambia?” I quickly asked. He mentioned the same price I got from Kenya but with the advantage of no freight cost in Zambia!

That night I tossed and turned on my bed, failing to sleep as I kept thinking about the machine and how nice it would be to start the construction works on the mission field. The following day I could not contain the burden within myself. I decided to share the information with brother Richard Gan of Singapore. This was troubling as  I have once sat in a meeting in Singapore during which various helps to be sent to various places overseas were being discussed. Thoughts reeled through my mind thinking, “If he would be able to assist with 50% of the cost, then I can save for some two or three months from my salary or perhaps borrow money to meet the balance.” I thought about the testimony-money I had received from Sister Bree, and wished I had known about the machine then!

The more information I gathered about the interlocking-block making machine the bigger the burden grew in my heart. Well, I could no longer contain it. I went to my PC and began to type a mail to Brother Gan: “Sorry but I am here to cause you trouble…” I explained about the urgent  need of the machine for the mission work.
Within a minute brother Gan responded: “Alright. Will send the one thousand.” And that was it! He quickly transacted the money and sent the details. I could not hold the burst of joy, like a little boy I screamed as I jumped up in praising the Lord in the bedroom. I called out to Norah and we immediately had a noisy praise and worship time. I phoned my mission team telling them the great news and that we would now soon constuct the church and the school.

As at this moment the machine has been paid for and we are soon to collect it. Last month we were in fasting praying about our next mission itinerary in August. This time around we wont just minister but will start the construction works. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!

ENTICING SPIRITS VERSING THE WORD OF GOD

  Don’t condemn the sinner; have mercy on him. Let
him go ahead and smoke his pipe, let him drink his
liquor, let him have his card party. That’s his pleasure.
Don’t blame him. Coming home and everything, tired
and worn out, he wants some pleasure. The thing for
you to do is live such a godly life that you can prove to
him that the Gospel holds ten thousand times more than
that, for him. [Blank spot on tape—Ed.] And if he dies
in that state, he’ll go to hell, on his liquor. That’s the
Devil’s intoxication. If he dies, dragging on that old
pipe, God is his Judge. If he dies, going out here,
dancing, and running around with immoral clothes on,
God is his Judge.

  But there’s one thing, if you die under the anointing
Power of the Holy Ghost, like Stephen did when he
looked up in the face of God, said, “I see Heaven’s
open, and Jesus standing at the right hand,” you’re
Heaven bound, like a martin to its box. Amen.

  Enticing spirits versing the Word of God! Let loose,
let go. “How you do it, Brother Branham?” Just let go.
That’s all you have to do. Take God’s Word. Don’t try
to work up nothing. Don’t get down at the altar and beat
on it, holler, “God, give me the Holy Ghost! Lord, give
me the Holy Ghost!” He ain’t coming, you beating on
that altar. That don’t do no good. No. That ain’t the way
It comes. It’s, taking Him at His Word!

  Look at Peter. Peter was in a trouble, looked like he
was going to die. And he seen the Lord come, walking
on water. And he said, “Lord, if that be You, bid me
come.”

Lord said, “Come on.”

  Now Peter said, “Now wait a minute, Lord, let me go
on a forty-day fast, to see if I can walk on that water, or
not. O Lord, let me get enough Spirit on me, that I can
dance in the Spirit and speak in tongues, in this boat,
then I can step out”? No, sir! He took God at His Word,
let loose and let go. God took him through.

  What if God met Moses, and He said, “Moses, go
down there into Egypt, and tell Pharaoh, ‘Let My people
go’”? What if Moses said, “Let me go on a forty-day
fast, first, and see if I got faith enough to obey You,
God. Give me something, something another, Lord. Let
me tell You something, let me see if I get in the Spirit,
first”? Moses never asked no questions, he just took
God at His Word, and took off. That’s the way you have
to do it, take God at His Word. Then you know you’ll be
able to do it. He didn’t wait till something else taken
place, he just went ahead and done it.

  What about Elijah, when he come down off of Mount
Carmel, been up there for a long time? And he met a
poor widow woman. She was a . . . She was an alien, a
Gentile. And when he met her down there, she was
picking up some sticks, in the yard. And God told him,
“Go down there to that widow’s house.” What a place
for the preacher to go!

  Then he goes down there to the widow’s house. And
when she did, she had two sticks. Said, “What are you
doing?”

  Said, “Picking up some sticks. I got just enough meal
to make a couple corn cakes. That’s all I got left.
There’s three years since we had any rain.” And said,
“Then I’m going to make these corn cakes. And me and
my boy is going to eat them, and die.”

  He said, “Make me one, first!” Hallelujah! Oh, I
know I’m a little bit crazy, but I’m on the Lord’s side,
anyhow. Said, “Make me one, first. For, THUS SAITH
THE LORD.” There you are.

  What is it? “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and
His righteousness.” Not the Kingdom of God and “a
little noise,” not the Kingdom of God and “a little
emotion,” not the Kingdom of God and “a little this or
that.” But, “God, and His righteousness, and all these
other things will be added to you.” Put first!

  Now, that widow heard that. “Faith cometh by
hearing, hearing by the Word.” She said, “That’s the
Word of the Lord, for that’s a holy man of God. That’s
God’s prophet, and I know it’s the truth. And that’s the
Word of God.”

  Now, she didn’t run across to ask the neighbors how
to do it. She didn’t want to go to share her . . . and tell
the neighbors, say, “Now, what do you think? The
preacher is over my house, saying this. Susie, what do
you think about this?”

  She went in, begin to dump out. She let go. She let go
of what she had, that she might get more. That’s what
the world needs today, is a good old-fashion letting-go
of what you got. Hallelujah! She dumped out, so she
could get filled up. She dumped all the oil she had, and
all the oil she had and all the meal she had, to the
preacher, to the Kingdom of God. And when she
dumped it all in there, God come down, filled up the
meal barrel, filled up the oil jug. She dumped it again, in
the preacher’s plate. And It come by, filled it up again.
He dumped in. Every time she dumped, He filled.

  I’ll say, today, if man will dump out all of this
nonsense of carrying on, and impersonating
Christianity, and let the Holy Ghost take Its place, there
will be a revival start on Eighth and Penn Street that will
sweep the whole country. Quit the nonsense. Get back
to the Word of God. Dump out, that you might fill up.
You let go, and God will let come. You dump out, God
will fill in. All the petty things, of, “You got to do this,
and you got to do that; and you ought to do this and
ought to do that.” Forget it! Dump it out of your soul!

  Say, “God, let me, from this this day, be
wholly Thine. Lord, I come with a broken heart. I come
with a contrite spirit. I love You. You know I love You.
And I want to forget all this foolishness of all these
forty-day fasts and see if I can get closer to God, and all
this, that, the other, all this nonsense.”

  Stop it! There’s nothing in the Word tells you to have
a forty-day fast. Not a thing. There’s nothing in the
world telling you to fast, unless God would tell you. If
you fast, you ain’t going to get hungry, go all these
things. As you are fasting, brother, you’ll be joy and
happy all the time. Said, “Don’t appear before men like
hypocrites do, with a long, sad face. ‘I’m on a forty-day
fast, my plates won’t fit me anymore. I’ve lost thirty
pounds, and they told me I look better after this is
over.’” Oh, nonsense! It’s enticing spirits of the Devil.

  Get up to the altar, and say “glory, glory, glory” till
you can’t hardly say anything else, and say, “You got to
speak in tongues before you get the Holy Ghost.”
Nonsense! Dump it out!

  Get that out of your system and come on the Word of
God! He said, “Repent, every one of you, and be
baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission
of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost.” God don’t keep His Word, He’s not God.
Amen. Dump out. Get filled up. Amen. Whew! I love
that. That’s His Word. God said so. That’s right. And
when God said it, God will take care of it. All right. All
the preparations you make, all the going to church you
do . . .

  It’s just like down here at the car works where they
build a big bunch of freight, or a big bunch of passenger
cars. I used to work there. And they take and build those
big coaches and everything, and put hard wood, inlaid
mahogany all around, and everything so beautiful, set it
out there on the track, and it was as dead as a doornail.
There set the engine, no steam in it. She just set there.

  What it needs today is some fire in the boiler. What it
needs today is some steam. What it needs today, the
church, to boil; the hottest boiling thing there is to boil
sin out of your life, is love. And if you can’t love one
another, how you going to love God Who you haven’t
seen? Love hides a multitude of sin. Get in love with
God, then you’ll love one another, then you’ll love the
church, you’ll love the Cause, you’ll love everything
that’s godly, and you’ll keep away from the things of
the world.

  Enticing spirits going around telling people this, that,
or the other, “They got to do this. They’ve got to do
that.” It’s because that denominations has raised up, and
they got a little revelation that they say, “Well, now,
I believe that a man . . . I believe in such a thing as
shouting in the Bible.” That’s right. That’s the truth.
They made a denomination out of it, “When you shout,
you got It.” But you haven’t.

  The next one raise up, said, “Speaking in tongues.”
That’s right. That’s in the Bible. “Well, when you speak
in tongues, you got It.” But a lot of them spoke
in tongues and didn’t have It. See? That’s not It. No, sir.

  A lot of them said, “Well, we got to prophesy.”

  Look at these prophets here with horns on their head,
jumping up-and-down and prophesying. Micaiah said,
“You’re, every one, lying.” Amen. Right. God don’t
come like that. God comes to the sincere heart that
comes with a contrite, broken spirit. “He that goeth
forth, sowing in tears, will doubtless return again
rejoicing, bringing with him precious sheaves.” Amen.
Get that right, friend.

The Ecumenical Movement

THE ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT


The Ecumenical Movement is one of the most controversial subjects in this present hour.

What is the Ecumenical Movement?

The word 'ecumenical' comes from the Greek word 'oikoumene' which basically means 'this inhabited world'.

At present, there are two great bodies -- the World Council of Churches (W.C.C.) and the National Council of Churches (N.C.C.). The main aim of the Ecumenical Movement is to bring churches of all denominations and cults, and ultimately, all other religious organisations together as One Ecumenical Church or World Church. At the first Ecumenical Assembly held in Amsterdam in 1948, the motto 'ONE WORLD -- ONE CHURCH' was adopted. It is agreed that one of the major issues for the WCC to tackle is the relations between the churches and the organisations of all the other religions and ideologies. With regards to this issue, dialogues are being held among the different religions of the world. The Bible Prophecy of a Super Church is now being fulfilled.



THE COURTSHIP BETWEEN THE WCC AND THE ROMAN CATHOLICS

For years now, there is much courtship between the WCC and the Roman Catholics. "Roman Catholic bishops from around the world met in an Ecumenical Council at the Vatican from 1962-1965. They revised the Catholic liturgy, and have updated the church in several areas in an effort to bring the Protestants back into the fold. In the higher echelons of Catholicism, Protestants are no longer called 'heretics' but are referred to as 'separated brethren'. It should be noted that this procedure has not reached the grass roots level in some areas. Booklets are being distributed to Catholic laymen on 'ecumenical etiquette'. Each year million of leaflets, 'Week of Prayer for Christian Unity' are distributed. Catholics and Protestants are having joint communion services. They undertake joint projects for social activities, and even have joint folk-singing programmes. One of the biggest drives toward unity is the amalgamation of Catholic and Protestant seminaries. For the first time in history Roman Catholic churches are joining city church council... The leaders of World Council and the leaders of Rome are working together for a union of these two bodies. No fewer than 39 representatives of Protestant churches have been received by the Pope. The Archbishop of Canterbury was the first Anglican primate to visit a Pope in 400 years. Official Roman Catholic documents are beginning to use the term 'church' to describe Protestant churches. A Lutheran professor has urged all Protest- ants to reunite with Roman Catholicism, which he described as their 'ecclesiastical homeland'." (Quoted from The Ecumenical Movement by H.Duncan).



POPE -- HEAD OF THE SUPER-CHURCH

There is no doubt that the irresistible effort of the Ecumenical Movement to form a World Church will culminate in the acceptance of the Pope -- that man of sin, the son of perdition -- as its head. In 1972, Michael Ramsey, who "made ecclesiastical history by preaching in Manhattan's Roman Catholic St.Patrick's Cathedral at a service attended by Terence Cardinal Cooke and Archbishop Iakovos of the Greek Church of North and South America" (TIME Feb.,7), said, "I can foresee the day when all Christians might accept the Pope as Presiding Bishop. Perspectives change, and we must give the bag a good shake and see what happens."

Even notable and influential churchmen speak of it with great favour. The Evangelist Billy Graham was quoted in a German newspaper as saying, "that it would be a great tragedy if the ecumenical policies of the late Pope John were reversed. 'Pope John brought an entirely new era to the world. It would be a great tragedy if the cardinals elect a pope who would react against the policies of Pope John and bring back the walls between the Christian faiths'." With such assurance, we are going to see (or have already seen) an endless procession of sincere people, their minds befogged with the spirit of delusion, join the wedding procession to union with Rome. The only ones who will escape this delusion will be those in whom is the mind of the Lord Jesus Christ -- The Word of God.


ROMANISM, DENOMINATIONALISM, ECUMENISM, CHARISMATICISM

What has God said about this One World Church System? Plenty, and much of which is recorded in the Book of Revelation. Bible-believing Christians will agree with me that we are living in the last of the Seven Church Ages mentioned in the first three chapters of the Book of Revelation. We are living in the Laodicean Age -- a period when the Church and its works are totally lukewarm being neither hot nor cold. Revelation chapter 17 mentions a mysterious woman called "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS of THE EARTH". She is none other than the SYSTEM of the Roman Catholic Church which has been handed down through each and every Church Age to every denominational church and which is now magnified as the One World Church. Yes, Mama Rome, the Great Mother Harlot, and her harlot 'daughters' (organized denominational churches) are now joined together in an unholy union. No doubt, it is a Super Church which is rich in material wealth but poor in spiritual Truth, and dying spiritually. God said that she is wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked (Rev.3:14-18), and she doesn't even know it!

Ecumenism (together with Charismaticism) is Satan's master-plan of deception through which He is trying to deceive the whole world in this climatic period (Rev.12:9).



BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIANS SHOULD NOT SUPPORT THE ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT

There are reasons why True Believers of Christ should not support the Ecumenical Movement or be associated with it in any way.

The Ecumenical Movement is built on the wrong premise which misleads sincere Christians into a counterfeit 'unity'. Emphatically, this is certainly not the unity of the Spirit. It is not the spiritual oneness of the Body of Christ which our Saviour had prayed for. The Ecumenical Movement is an unholy organisational union of a bunch of ignoramuses! The True Church is composed of only the born-again, Blood- washed Christians whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.



INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD REJECTED

For the sake of charity and unity the Ecumenical Movement rejected THE HOLY BIBLE as the Infallible Word of God and has published its own edition of THE BIBLE which is sanctioned by Rome. It has four parallel columns showing the reader the similarities and differences in the interpretations of the four major denominations of the Ecumenical Movement -- Roman Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox (Eastern Christian) and Jewish. The edition has grossly distorted the Truth by taking away from, and adding to, the Inspired Word of God. As Martin Luther had said, "Cursed be that love and unity for whose sake the Word of God must be put to stake!" Bishop Latimer, who died at the stake for his faith in Christ, said, "Unity must be according to God's Holy Word, or else it were better war than peace. We ought never to regard unity so much that we forsake God's Word for her sake." But, even then, we still find many Bible-believing Christians in, or associating with, the Movement.


APOSTASY!

The Ecumenical Movement and many Christians have a wrong concept of the Church. They are confused about the Church of God and the Kingdom of God. They believe that we should strive to set up the Kingdom of God on the earth. The Bible does not teach this. Rather, it has revealed to us that this age will end in apostasy (2 Thess.2:3). The Apostle Peter tells us that in the last days there will be false teachers who will bring in damnable heresies. Peter says that many will follow the pernicious ways of these false teachers. In other words he is not referring to the false doctrines or teachings of Christian cults, or churches, who may attract their tens of thousands, but rather to the apostates who go about deceiving millions of people. These false teachers are not only guilty of teaching wrong doctrines but are also guilty of denying the Lord Jesus Whom they claim to believe. They are so theologically unsound that they even deny the Virgin Birth of Christ, His Vicarious Death and Atonement, His Resurrection and Ascension, His Second Coming and almost all the fundamental truths that are taught in the Bible. It is deplorable that many sincere Christians do not realise the extent to which these false teachers have infiltrated and control their own denominations (2 Pet.2:1,2).

Today, in most of the churches, we see plenty of form and ceremony -- religiously pompous -- singing, shouting, dancing, speaking in tongues, etc., but none of the Apostolic teachings and the power of the Truth. The Bible does not encourage the Believer to stay and try to improve such situation in his church, but It warns him in no uncertain terms to turn away from it (2 Tim.3:1-5).


UNHOLY ALLIANCE

We often hear people say that it does not matter what we believe as long as we are sincere in what we believe. What folly! What we believe makes us what we are! And the Ecumenical Movement is exactly what it is -- "the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird"! It tolerates those who encourage immorality! Many ministers of the WCC defend homosexuality and encourage pre-marital sex as was manifested at Uppsala, Sweden in 1968. Beside this carnal sin, their unholy alliance with the Roman Catholic church, which promulgates countless erroneous doctrines, is enough to make one sick! Even the evangelicals has compromised and fellowshipped with that which God has cursed!

The Ecumenical Movement opposes and condemns missionary activities as outmoded ideas of evangelism. It is also soft on Communism. This has been confirmed many times by investigating agencies of the United States government.


WARNING!  CHECK YOURSELF AND YOUR CHURCH!

Dear Christian friend, if you believe that Jesus Christ was God incarnate, born of a virgin, died a vicarious death on the Cross for you and that you are cleansed and pardoned through His shed Blood, that He arose on the third day, ascended to Heaven, and is coming again as He promised, and that you are "saved by grace through faith....the gift of God, not of work", then "COME OUT OF HER...." and have no dealing whatsoever in an organization (even your denomination) which denies these fundamental truths!

We are now in the final hours of the age of grace. This is no time for ecumenical association in unholy compromise! Compromise dulls the spiritual vision. Compromise is an affront to a Holy and Righteous Saviour. THIS IS A TIME FOR TOTAL SEPARATION FROM UNBELIEF!!!

Find out for yourself whether your church -- your denomination -- is affiliated with the NCC and/or the WCC. If so, the leaders are blind and apostate! God does not revive apostasy; He judges it! And if you knowingly and wilfully remain in apostasy, you would never make it in the 'Rapture' of the saints! Return to the Word! Back to the Faith of the Apostolic Fathers!

These are strong words, yes, but God's Word is even stronger. He calls for TOTAL SEPARATION from Mystery, Babylon the Great, and all that she represents -- "COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM and be ye SEPARATE, saith the Lord, and TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING" -- 2 Cor.6:17. "COME OUT OF HER, My People, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues" -- Rev.18:4. Yes, contend for the Faith that was once delivered unto the saints of God!

WATER BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME

Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ is the ORIGINAL BAPTISM that was practised by the early Church Apostles. It is not something new but if you will look carefully at the written Scriptures, you will notice and find that there was not one person in the whole Bible who was ever water baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Not one. 

For about 330 years after Christ, everybody was water baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Roman Catholics, then organized and became a denomination, and started to water sprinkling (not baptism) over the forehead in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Reference to any Church History Book will prove this.  But there are a few particular which may be found in the public library.

There are other references that you may be able to check up on. These works, and the others that I am not taking space to list here, prove that Water Baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is a TRADITION OF MAN, NOT THE WORD OF GOD, started by the Roman Catholic Church, and carried on by almost all other denominations after her. THIS IS AN ERROR AND A FALSE BAPTISM. 

As we know, after the Roman Catholic (RC) Church had gone on some hundred of years, Martin Luther, one of the RC monks,  saw many errors in their ways, but continued to baptise people in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Around year 1525, the Anabaptists saw that it was wrong to water baptise infants, and began to immerse only grown ups, adults.  ( Source: "The Growth of the Christian Church", by Nichols, Page 231).
In the 1700's John Wesley received more spiritual light on the Scriptures, but he continued the R.C. water baptism formula , which was in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Then 'Pentecost' came and people were filled with the Holy Ghost, but the majority of the people hung on to the same thing, and it has been going on like that. So for more than1600 years we have had a water Baptism which was not the one formula used at the beginning ― it started right the Early Church Apostles, but the Roman Catholic Church changed it.

The R.C. Church changed the water baptism formula that was originally used, and they also changed the method or mode of water baptising. After Apostles Paul, Peter, Jesus Christ and other early Church fathers were gone, the R.C. Church began to baptise people by sprinkling water on the little children's forehead and using the title "name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost".
In the Bible, Acts 2:38 we read "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins", but how can an infant repent when he does not know what sins are or that he is a sinner?  What part of the R.C. water baptism is wrong? It is all wrong!  Every part of it is wrong. There is no such thing in the Bible. Does the Bible say to water baptise infants when they don't know they are sinners and can't repent?  The method or mode of water baptism is wrong also for we do not sprinkle infants nor grown ups but rather immerse the people into the water. And you could not immerse infants; you could drown them. The wording of pronouncement  is also wrong. Then the whole water baptism is wrong, unscriptural. In fact, anyone that have been water baptized in this way are not baptized at all for it is not Scriptural. So every part of that R.C water baptism is totally wrong. 

But since we have got the revelation of the true Christian baptism which is Scriptural, we know that it is true. So then, we are to water baptise people that are old enough to know that they are sinners and to be able to repent of their sins. Whether it is a child or a grown up, we are to water baptise them , everyone, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ which is the ONLY SCRIPTURAL BAPTISMAL FORMULA. Scriptures regarding water immersion, which means  to be totally fully IMMERSED in water, are as follows:

"And Jesus when He was baptized went up straightway out of the water."  ~ Matthew 3:16.

"And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch and he baptized him." ~ Acts 8:38.

"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death." (Romans 6:4) Baptism is a type of the burial of our sins. 

Every person who was ever baptized in the Bible, and there are at least 8,012 of them mentioned, were ALL BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

If you check Apostle Peter's teaching, and also see Apostle Paul's teaching ( for Apostle Paul was a messenger as well as an apostle of his era), you will see that both of them taught and practised water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If anybody can cast these two apostles' teachings out of the Bible, then they might as well cast the whole Bible away.

It is essential and important that we be very prayerful and careful to go by the Scriptures, rather than go by the traditions of man. Note Galatians 1:11-12, " But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Read also Galatians 1:16, "To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:" And also take note of Galatians 1:8-9, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." 

Therefore all gospel ministers who water baptised people in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are cursed according to Apostle Paul's teachings, but they don't know they are cursed. Some people who are doubtful feel they would rather obey Jesus than Apostle Peter, but Acts 1:1-2, ( The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:) says that Jesus through the Holy Ghost gave commandments unto the Apostles ; also having given the keys of the kingdom to Peter. Read Matthew 16:19, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Apostle Peter commanded the people to be water baptized in the NAME OF THE LORD ( Jesus Christ) over in Acts 2:38 , " Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. " , and Acts 10:48, " And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days." 

The Spirit revealed and made very clear to the Apostles that the Name (not titles) of the the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost was the Lord Jesus Christ. 

In addition to the 8,012 people who were mentioned previously, we see in Acts 18:8, that after hearing Paul's teaching, Crispus, the chief ruler of the Synagogue believed on the Lord with all his household, and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed and were baptized. We know Paul taught water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ as in Acts 19:1-7, where the Ephesus believers who hab been baptized unto the baptism of John the Baptist were rebaptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus after hearing Paul's teaching on the matter. 

Again, in addition to the 8,012 sould mentioned, we see Philip, when in Samaria, water baptized a number of people in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and even Simon the sorcerer was baptized.

With regard to the words which Jesus spoke as recorded in Matthew 28:19, " baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost", Father, Son and Holy Ghost are all titles, not names. There are countless numbers of "Dads" who are called "Father" every day, but this is just a title and each one of these "Fathers" have their own respective individual Name.

The revelation of the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is the LORD JESUS CHRIST . Note that in Isaiah 9:6, the Son shall be called "The mighty God, The everlasting Father,"

In John 5:43, Jesus said, " I am come in my FATHER'S NAME."

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO PHILLIPIANS 2:9-11.

Note especially verse 11, which says every tongue should confess to that NAME. Every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord and His Name which is Jesus Christ, is the NAME above every name. 

Over in Colossians 3:17, Apostle Paul taught that "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him." And if we thank God for our daily bread in the Name of Jesus; pray for the sick in the Name of our Lord Jesus; cast out demons in the Name of Jesus Christ; greet the saints in the precious Name of Jesus Christ; etc., how much more ought we to take the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ in water baptism. In the "deed" of water baptism, by total immession into the water, the believer does so in "word" as well, confessing and accepting the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Today's date : We know that we are now living in a day of preparation for those who will be in the Bride's Rapture. The living elements of the Bride of Christ will accept all Scriptural Truths that are revealed in the the Bible, but those people who don't care or indifferent whether they are in the Bride or not, will believe fables and traditions of man. All church denominational people will be against such BAPTISM for in order to accept it, they will have to admit and confess that their present status quo denominational teaching is wrong, and this they will not do. 
However, those souls who will make up the Bride will be open to receive all instruction in righteousness of God and open for correction as well. We must be corrected if we are truly children of God. We must allow ourselves to be corrected by the Word of God. God is in His Word. Those who have not His Word are not in Him. 

If we seriously take time to look up the above Bible verses of Scriptures and pray about them, certainly the Lord Jesus Christ will reveal His Word to us. It is essential that we make sure our lives are lived in full obedience to the Word.
