Muslims claim to have just one Qur’an, which has never changed over the past 1400 years. Jay Smith and Hatun Tash decided to dispel these claims by introducing 26 different Arabic Qur’ans they have found which exist in the Arab world today, and all include slight changes from one to the other!
Watch the crowd as they begin to hold up just 14 of the 26 which they have to the growing audience. It is obvious that they do not like what Jay and Hatun are suggesting. For they claim that with the two most popular versions, the Hafs and Warsh Qur’ans, there are over 1,000 diferences.
What’s more, when you compare the other 12 you can find over 5,000 different changes.
This was too much for the crowd, as they surge forward, even one man claiming that he would ‘stab’ Jay if he continued, and then proceeded to ‘give him the finger’.
This all proves that the Qur’an did not come from God, but from man, and so is like every other book written by men; open to error.
For centuries, Muslims have claimed that there is only one Quran and it has been PERFECTLY PRESERVED, with no differences from one to the next copy, all are the same. Jay Smith and Hatun Tash show up at Speakers Corner with 26 DIFFERENT ARABIC QURANS.

26 ARABIC QURANS – EXPLAINED & UNPACKED
At Speaker’s Corner, on Sunday, the 7th of August (2016), Jay Smith and Hatun Tash introduced 26 Arabic Qur’ans which they claimed had differences between them, and had differences with the current canonized ‘Hafs’ Qur’an, used by millions around the world today.
The mostly Arabic speaking crowd who listened to them became understandably quite agitated and angry, as this material goes against everything they have been taught for over 1,000 years, and would suggest that their Qur’an does not come from God, but was simply made by man, which would explain then why there were so many differences.
Because of the volatility of Speaker’s Corner, and because the material Jay and Hatun were introducing was quite technical and difficult to communicate, especially to an angry crowd; they announced from the ladder that they would be putting up another ‘follow-up’ video to not only explain what they were saying on the ladder, but show the actual changes which we can find in the written Arabic between two of the 26 Arabic Qur’ans on display, the Hafs and the Warsh versions.
This video then is that ‘follow-up’ video. In it you will see Jay and Hatun discuss in a quiet studio the differences which do exist between the 2 of the 26 Qur’ans, and background concerning how and why these differences occur.
We hope that with this video you can better understand what Jay and Hatun are trying to communicate, and that it will begin the debate concerning whether indeed the Qur’an is from God, or from man.
