WHY NO EVIL CAN TOUCH GOD'S ANOINTED
Chapter 1: The reality of protection
There is a statement in the Bible so bold, so absolute, and so sweeping in its implications that if you truly believed it, you would never fear another day in your life.
It is not a suggestion.
It is not a conditional promise with fine print.
It is a divine decree spoken by the God who controls every molecule in the universe.
And it says that no evil can touch His anointed.
Not some evil, not most evil, but no evil.
And the most staggering part is not the scope of the protection.
It is who the protection covers.
Because when God says my anointed, he is not referring exclusively to kings, prophets, or pastors.
He is referring to you.
If you have been born again, if the Holy Spirit dwells inside you, if you have been sealed by the blood of the new covenant, then you are the anointed of God.
And the divine protection that covers you is so comprehensive that once you fully understand it, fear becomes irrational.
Worry becomes absurd.
And the enemy's threats become the empty bluster of a defeated adversary who knows he cannot touch what God has claimed as His own.
This teaching is going to reveal the scope, the source, and the substance of the divine protection that is already over your life as a born-again believer.
Not a protection you need to earn.
Not a protection that activates only when you have performed well enough to deserve it.
A protection that is yours by covenant right, purchased by the blood of Jesus, guaranteed by the character of God, and enforced by the angelic host that has been assigned to your name.
I understood divine protection not as a theological abstraction but as a daily operative present tense reality that governs the life of every believer who knows their identity.
NOTE that the anointed of God is not merely protected by God.
He is surrounded by God.
He is indwelt by God.
He is seated with God.
And the enemy who wants to touch the anointed must first get through the God who surrounds, indwells, and seats him.
And that is something the enemy has never been able to do.
The enemy must first get through the God who surrounds, indwells, and seats the believer.
That is the scope of the protection.
It is not a thin layer of spiritual insulation.
It is the omnipotent God himself standing between you and every form of evil that would seek to touch you.
Stay with me through this entire teaching because what you learn here will permanently alter the way you perceive every threat, every attack, and every danger for the rest of your life.
Here is where most Christians live.
And it is a far cry from the reality the Bible describes.
Chapter 2: Overcoming fear and doubt
Most believers live with a persistent low-grade fear that evil is going to find them.
They fear sickness.
They fear financial catastrophe.
They fear the loss of loved ones.
They fear the schemes of wicked people.
They fear the spiritual attacks of the enemy.
And while they would affirm intellectually that God is their protector, their daily experience does not reflect that belief.
They lock their doors at night with the same anxiety as the unbeliever next door.
They read the news with the same dread.
They face medical appointments with the same terror.
And the reason for this disconnect between what they believe doctrinally and what they experience emotionally is that they have never been taught the full scope of the protection that belongs to them as the anointed of God.
The church has done an admirable job teaching people that God loves them.
It has done a reasonable job teaching people that God forgives them.
But it has done a poor job teaching people that God protects them with a protection so total, so absolute, and so covenant guaranteed that the enemy is legally unable to penetrate it without permission.
And the result is a church full of forgiven, loved believers who are terrified of the world they live in.
They believe God saved them from hell, but they are not sure he can save them from the evening news.
And that contradiction, that gap between salvation theology and protection theology has kept millions of Christians living in a fear that the anointing was designed to eliminate.
He confronted this gap with a directness that the church still needs to hear.
NOTE : "The believer who is afraid of the devil is a believer who does not know what the anointing has done for him.
The anointing has placed him under the protection of the most high God.
And the most high God does not lose battles, does not sleep on the job, and does not allow his anointed to be touched by any form of evil that has not first passed through his sovereign hand.
The most high God does not allow His anointed to be touched by any evil that has not first passed through His sovereign hand.
That is not fatalism.
That is sovereignty.
And sovereignty means that nothing, absolutely nothing, reaches you that God has not already evaluated, permitted within boundaries and prepared a purpose for.
You are not at the mercy of random evil.
You are under the covering of a purposeful God.
Chapter 3: Defining the anointed
Let us go to the Word and see this protection laid out in language that leaves no room for doubt.
The foundational text is Psalm 105:15 where God issues a direct command.
Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.
This is God speaking, not a man, not a prophet.
God himself issuing a decree to the nations, to the elements , to the spiritual realm, and to every force in existence.
Do not touch my anointed.
The word touch in the Hebrew is naga and it means to strike reach, to lay a hand upon.
God is saying that His anointed are off limits.
They are not to be struck.
They are not to be harmed.
They are not to be reached by anything that operates outside of God's sovereign permission.
Now the critical question is who are the anointed?
In the old covenant, the anointed were kings, priests, and prophets, people who had been set apart by the physical application of anointing oil.
But in the new covenant, every born again believer is anointed.
1 John 2:27 says, "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you."
The anointing abides in you.
It is not an external application.
It is an internal reality.
The Holy Spirit himself is the anointing and he lives inside every recreated spirit.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 confirms it.
Now he which establish us with you in Christ and hath anointed us is God who hath also sealed us and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.
God has anointed you.
God has sealed you.
And the earnest, the guarantee, the down payment of that anointing is the Holy Spirit living in your heart.
You are the anointed of God.
Not metaphorically, not symbolically, but actually.
And the decree of Psalm 105:15 applies to you with the same force it applied to David, to Elijah, and to every anointed servant of God in the history of scripture.
Chapter 4: Total divine covering
"Every born-again believer is the anointed of God, not the pastor only, not the evangelist only.
Every believer, and the protection that belongs to the anointed is not partial, it is total.
God has placed a perimeter around His children that the enemy cannot cross without divine permission.
And even when permission is given, it is given within limits for a purpose and always with the guarantee of a comeback.
Even when permission is given, it is given within limits and always with the guarantee of a comeback.
That is the full picture.
The protection is not the absence of all difficulty.
It is the guarantee that no difficulty can exceed the boundaries God has set, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Isaiah 54:17, and that the outcome of every trial is already determined in your favor.
Chapter 5: The promise of Psalm 91
Psalm 91 is the most comprehensive description of divine protection in the entire Bible, and it applies to every believer who dwells in the secret place.
Psalm 91:1-2 says, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God.
In Him will I trust."
The protection begins with a position.
Dwelling in the secret place.
And as we have studied in earlier teachings, the secret place is not a physical location.
It is a spiritual posture of feeding on the word, confessing your identity, praying from authority, and listening for the voice of God.
The believer who lives in that posture abides under the shadow of the Almighty.
And the shadow of the Almighty is not a small covering.
It is the shadow of an infinite God.
It covers everything.
The psalm continues with specifics that should silence every fear.
Psalm 91:5-7 declares, "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day, nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and 10,000 at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee. A thousand shall fall at your side, but it shall not come near you.
That is not a general promise of goodwill.
That is a specific detailed military grade assurance that the destruction affecting everyone around you will not reach you because you are under a covering that those around you may not be standing under not because you are better than them because you are positioned under the anointing and the anointing has a perimeter that evil cannot cross.
Psalm 91:10-11 add the angelic enforcement. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. No evil shall befall you, none.
And the mechanism of enforcement is the angelic host given a specific charge, a direct assignment to keep you in all your ways.
Not some of your ways, all of them.
The angels assigned to you are not passive guardians standing at a distance.
They are active agents with a divine mandate to prevent evil from reaching you.
And that mandate was issued by the same God who spoke the universe into existence when he says no evil shall befall you.
The full weight of his authority backs that statement and the angels who execute it do so with the same power that rolled stones away from tombs and opened iron prison gates.
Chapter 6: Addressing practical questions described this angelic protection as one of the most practical daily realities of the anointed life.
NOTE: "The believer who knows he is anointed and protected walks through the world with a confidence that unbelievers cannot understand.
He is not reckless.
He is not presumptuous.
He is simply aware that the God who lives inside him has placed a shield around him that nothing in the natural or spiritual realm can penetrate.
And that awareness produces a peace and a boldness that transforms every area of his daily life.
A peace and a boldness that transforms every area.
That is the fruit of understanding divine protection, not a careless disregard for wisdom.
A settled, confident, fear-free awareness that you are under the covering of the most high God.
Now, let me address a question that surfaces every time this topic is taught because it is an honest and important question.
If no evil can touch God's anointed, why do bad things happen to Christians?
The answer requires nuance, but it does not require retreat from the truth of the promise.
First, many of the difficulties Christians experience are not attacks from the enemy.
They are the consequences of living in a fallen world with a body that has not yet been redeemed.
Sickness, natural disasters, and the general brokenness of the physical world affect all people.
But the promise is that no evil shall befall you and that the things that do touch your life will be worked together for your good. Romans 8:28.
Second, the promise of Psalm 91 is connected to a position dwelling in the secret place.
The protection operates for the believer who is actively abiding under the shadow of the Almighty Who is confessing the Word exercising authority who has abandoned the Word who is confessing the enemy's narrative and who is living in sense knowledge rather than faith is not abiding under the shadow.
They are standing outside the perimeter, not because God has removed the covering, it is because they have walked out from under sit.
"The protection is always available, but it is activated by the believer's faith, confession, and position in the word."
A soldier who puts down his shield and walks away from his unit is more vulnerable than the soldier who stays in formation.
God has not removed the shield. The soldier has put it down. And the solution is not to blame God for the exposure.
It is to pick up the shield and get back in position. Pick up the shield and get back in position.
That is the practical application.
If you feel exposed, if you feel unprotected, if the enemy's attacks seem to be landing, the answer is not that God has failed.
The answer is that you may have stepped out from under the covering by neglecting the Word, the confession, or the prayer life that keeps you positioned in the secret place.
And let me show you one more dimension of this protection that connects directly to the anointing you carry.
Chapter 7: The offensive anointing
The dimension of this protection that connects directly to the anointing you carry.
It is not merely a defensive covering.
It is an offensive presence.
The anointing does not just shield you from evil.
It repels it.
It pushes it back.
It creates an atmosphere around your life that darkness cannot tolerate.
Think about what happened when Jesus walked into a synagogue where a man had an unclean spirit.
Mark 1:23- 24 records the demon's response.
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit.
And he cried out, saying, "Let us alone. What have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth?
Art thou come to destroy us?
I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God."
The demon recognized the anointing.
It could not stay silent in the presence of the anointed.
It was repelled by the very presence of Christ.
Now consider this.
The same Holy Spirit that was upon Jesus is in you.
The same anointing that caused demons to cry out in terror dwells in your recreated spirit.
1 John 4:4 does not say you have a lesser version of God's presence.
It says, "Greater is he that is in you."
The anointing you carry is not defensive only.
It is an active offensive force that the kingdom of darkness recognizes, fears, and cannot overcome.
Acts 19:15 provides a striking confirmation of this principle.
When the seven sons of Keva tried to cast out a demon using the name of Jesus without having the anointing, the demon responded, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye?"
The demon knew Jesus.
The demon knew Paul.
Why?
Because both carried the anointing that the spirit realm recognizes.
The sons of Keva did not.
And the result was that the demon overpowered them.
But notice the implication.
The demon knew Paul, a human being, a mortal man walking the earth.
The demonic realm knew his name and feared his anointing.
That same anointing is upon you.
The same Holy Spirit that caused the spirit realm to know Paul by name is inside your spirit right now.
And the demons that operate in your region, in your family line, in your health, and in your circumstances, know the anointing you carry, even if you have not been told about it until today.
Chapter 8: Destroying the enemy's yokes
I described the believer's anointing as both shield and sword in a single statement that captures the full scope of what you carry.
NOTE: "The anointing on the believer is not just a covering.
It is a weapon.
It does not merely protect you from the enemy.
It terrorizes the enemy."
The believer who walks in the consciousness of his anointing does not run from darkness.
Darkness runs from him because the anointing he carries is the presence of the God who defeated the enemy at Calvary.
And every demon in hell remembers what happened there.
Darkness runs from him.
That is the offensive dimension of the anointing.
You are not merely protected.
You are dangerous.
You are a threat to the enemy's operations simply by walking in the awareness of who lives inside you.
And when you add the spoken word, the confession of your identity and the exercise of your authority in the name of Jesus, the anointing becomes a force that does not merely keep evil at bay.
It drives evil back.
It reclaims territory.
It advances the kingdom of God into every space you occupy.
Isaiah 10:27 captures this with an image that has echoed through centuries of the church.
It says, "And it shall come to pass in that day that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."
The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Not weakened, not loosened, but destroyed.
Every yoke of bondage, every chain of oppression, every burden the enemy has tried to place on your shoulders is subject to destruction by the anointing you carry.
The anointing does not negotiate with yolks.
It does not learn to live with them.
It destroys them.
And that destruction is not something you need to pray for as a future event.
It is something the anointing is designed to do right now in your life over every burden that does not belong on the shoulders of a child of God.
And here is the climactic truth that should cement this reality in your spirit for the rest of your life.
Chapter 9: God as your protector
The anointing that protects you is not a substance.
It is a person.
The Holy Spirit is the anointing and the Holy Spirit is God.
That means the protection over your life is not a force field generated by your faith.
It is the personal presence of the Spirit living inside your spirit surrounding your life and governing everything that comes near you.
First John 4:4 says, "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
Greater, not equal, not slightly larger, greater, infinitely greater,
Immeasurably greater.
The God who is in you is greater than every demon, every sickness, every financial crisis, every human scheme, and every form of evil that exists in the world.
And because he is in you, because he is the anointing, because he is the perimeter, nothing that is less than him can penetrate what he surrounds.
I brought this to its sharpest and most personal point with words that should be confessed by every believer who has ever been afraid.
NOTE: You are not protected by a policy. You are protected by a Spirit and that Spirit is God Almighty.
He is not watching you from a distance hoping the enemy does not get through.
He is inside you, around you, above you, beneath you, and ahead of you.
There is no angle of attack the enemy can find because God has occupied every position.
The anointed of God is the most protected being in the universe, second only to God himself.
And fear has no place in the heart of someone who carries that kind of covering.
Fear has no place.
Chapter 10: Living without fear
That is the conclusion of this entire teaching.
Not because fear is a character flaw you should be ashamed of, but because fear is an irrational response to a threat that cannot reach you through the God who surrounds you.
So let this truth become the permanent foundation of how you face every day, every night, every diagnosis, every crisis, and every threat.
You are the anointed of God.
The Holy Spirit lives inside you.
Angels have been given charge over you.
No evil shall befall you.
No plague shall come near your dwelling.
A thousand may fall at your side, but it shall not come near you.
Not because you are invincible in your own strength, because you are covered by an invincible God who has declared in his own words, "Touch not mine anointed." That decree has never been revoked.
It has never been amended.
It has never been qualified with an exception clause.
It stands today with the same authority it carried when God first spoke it.
And it stands over your life.
I left the church with a charge that should be the final word on every fear.
NOTE, "Live as the anointed, speak as the anointed, walk as the anointed, and fear as the anointed should fear, which is not at all.
The God who anointed you is the God who protects you, and his protection is as complete, as permanent, and as unbreakable as he is.
His protection is as unbreakable as he is.
And he has never been broken.
If this truth has settled something in your spirit today, if you now see the scope of the divine protection that has been over your life since the moment you were born again, then declare it in the comment section below.
I am the anointed of God.
The Holy Spirit lives inside me. Angels have been given charge over me.
No evil shall befall me, and no plague shall come near my dwelling.
Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.
I do not walk in fear.
I walk in the confidence of the anointing under the shadow of the Almighty, protected by the God who has declared that nothing can touch what belongs to him.
That is not a formula.
That is the truth of your covenant standing declared from the mouth of a new creation. Leave it in the comments now.
And as you step into this awareness of the divine protection that surrounds you, as fear loses its grip and the anointing becomes the lens through which you see every circumstance.
There is a dimension of spiritual authority that most believers have never accessed.
It is the dimension where prayer stops being a conversation and becomes a confrontation.
Where the words you speak do not merely request heaven's involvement, but command the enemy's retreat.
There was a specific kind of prayer documented in the book of Acts that caused demons to flee in terror, that shook buildings, that opened prison doors, and that turned entire cities upside down. And it was not long. It was not complicated. It was not reserved for the apostles. It was available to every anointed believer who understood the authority behind it.
In the next teaching, we are going to uncover that prayer, show you exactly what made it so effective, and demonstrate how you can pray it with the same results today.
If what you heard today showed you the shield, what comes next will show you the sword.
