The Rock is the revelation of Who Jesus is

MATTHEW 16:15

:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The rock represents the true revelation of Who Jesus is.

The Rock is Christ

I CORINTHIANS 10:4

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

The rock is not Peter. Four verses later, he is called Satan.

MATTHEW 16 :23

Get behind me Satan.

Peter would go on to deny Jesus three times just before He was crucified.

MATTHEW 7:24

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

哥林多前书 10:4

并且都喝了一样的灵水，所喝的是出于随着他们的灵磐石；那磐石就是基督。

这磐石并不是指彼得。仅仅四节经文之后，他就被称为撒但。

马太福音 16:23

撒但，退我后边去吧！

后来，彼得在耶稣被钉十字架之前，曾三次不认主。

马太福音 7:24

所以，凡听见我这话就去行的，好比一个聪明人，把房子盖在磐石上；

:25 雨淋，水冲，风吹，撞着那房子，房子总不倒塌，因为根基立在磐石上。

:17 Jésus, reprenant la parole, lui dit : Tu es heureux, Simon, fils de Jonas ; car ce ne sont pas la chair et le sang qui t’ont révélé cela, mais c’est mon Père qui est dans les cieux.

:18 Et moi, je te dis que tu es Pierre, et que sur ce rocher je bâtirai mon Église, et que les portes du séjour des morts ne prévaudront point contre elle.

:19 Je te donnerai les clés du royaume des cieux : ce que tu lieras sur la terre sera lié dans les cieux, et ce que tu délieras sur la terre sera délié dans les cieux.

Le rocher représente la véritable révélation de qui est Jésus.

Le Rocher, c’est Christ

1 CORINTHIENS 10:4

...et qu’ils ont tous bu le même breuvage spirituel, car ils buvaient à un rocher spirituel qui les suivait, et ce rocher était Christ.

Le rocher n’est pas Pierre. Quatre versets plus loin, il est traité de Satan.

MATTHIEU 16:23

Arrière de moi, Satan !

Pierre allait par la suite renier Jésus trois fois, juste avant qu’il ne soit crucifié.

MATTHIEU 7:24

C’est pourquoi, quiconque entend ces paroles que je dis et les met en pratique, sera semblable à un homme prudent qui a bâti sa maison sur le roc.

:25 La pluie est tombée, les torrents sont venus, les vents ont soufflé et se sont jetés contre cette maison : elle n’est point tombée, parce qu’elle était fondée sur le roc.
